The First MicroFinanceBank Opens Banking Service Centres in Dushanbe

In line with its growth plan, The First MicroFinanceBank (FMFB) opened new two Banking Service Centres (BSC) in Dushanbe city, at 91/1 N. Karabaev street, Firdavsi district, and at 106 Rudaki Avenue, Somoni district, taking to 42 the total number of its Business outlets across the country. The new BSCs are strategically located to provide easy access to FMFB’s wide and growing customer base in these areas. They are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, enabling them to provide efficient and effective services to the Bank’s customers. The BSCs will offer customers access to all of the Bank’s competitive and innovative products and services.  

Resident Representative and Ambassador of Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Tajikistan Mr. Qozidavlat Qoimdodov, Dr. Andreas Schneider – Director KfW Tajikistan and Member of the Board of Directors and Mr. Yenten Lama – Chief Executive Officer, FMFB inaugurated the BSCs at a function attended by various dignitaries. The Head Office management staff and FMFB’s clients were also present at the opening ceremony. “The opening of these BSCs in Dushanbe is a kind of a New Year gift to the people living in these districts. Opening such BSCs will provide more access to finance to customers as well as employment opportunities to deserving and qualified people. As the population of Tajikistan is increasing by 2% every year, such employments benefit many families” expressed Mr. Qoimdodov the Resident Representative and Ambassador of AKDN.

Dr. Andreas Schneider – Member of The Board of Directors, thanked the Bank for the good work it was doing and mentioned that KfW was pleased to be a part of this success story. He said that KfW’s partnership with FMFB has been since the early days of the Bank and that KfW is pleased to support and be partners with FMFB. He articulated that FMFB’s contribution plays an important role in the development of the financial sector and benefits the overall economy and society.  

Mr. Yenten Lama – CEO, FMFB, thanked the NBT for facilitating the opening of new BSCs. He thanked his colleagues for the continued good performance of the Bank which enables the Bank to invest in further growth. He has emphasized the need to continue working with integrity and asked his colleagues to keep the customer paramount in the work that they do.
